For anyone who has quietly wondered if their family would know what they’d want when the time comes.

What’s Inside the Guide?

Get your guide to making things easier for your family.

  • Why families are often left making major decisions within hours of a loss
  • The emotional and practical challenges families face when no wishes are recorded
  • Why unclear wishes can create stress, confusion, or distance between loved ones
  • How to think through your own wishes in a calm, pressure-free way

A funeral is not a day in a lifetime. It is A Lifetime in a Day™

A farewell is not a single moment. It is a lifetime of meaning held in one day.

When a loved one passes, families are often left to make important decisions quickly while navigating grief. In those moments, even simple choices can feel overwhelming without clear guidance.

Every family carries different beliefs, traditions, and personal wishes, and without anything recorded, uncertainty can quietly make an already emotional time even harder.

That is why we created this guide. To help you gently think through and record your wishes in a simple, thoughtful way. So when the time comes, your family feels supported, clear, and able to focus on what truly matters: remembering you with love.

Gentle guidance for every step of the journey

Starting
Point

Begin simply, without pressure or expectation. This is about taking a moment to reflect on what matters most to you and the people you love, in a calm and considered way.

Personal
Wishes

Think through the details that reflect who you are, from personal values and beliefs to the small but meaningful preferences that help your family understand what you would have wanted.

Family
Clarity

Help ease the burden on your loved ones by making your wishes clear. This reduces confusion later and allows your family to focus on being present with each other.

Meaningful Farewell

Shape a farewell that feels true to you. Whether simple, traditional, or personal, this is about ensuring your life is remembered in a way that feels right to you and your family.

We are here to help you bring clarity to your wishes

At The Life Celebrant, we believe that meaningful planning starts with understanding you as a person, your values, your beliefs, and what truly matters to you and your family.

Our role is to gently guide you through the process of thinking about and recording your wishes in a way that feels calm, considered, and without pressure. This is not about doing everything at once, but about taking simple steps at your own pace.

Founder & Life Celebrant

Angjolie Mei is the founder of The Life Celebrant (TLC) 心篇章 and one of the few female funeral directors in Singapore. A certified funeral celebrant and author of Dying To Meet You, she has built her work around one belief: saying goodbye should bring clarity, not confusion, for the people left behind.

Her path into the industry began after the passing of her father, a pioneer in Singapore’s funeral sector, when she experienced firsthand how difficult it can be for families to make decisions without clear guidance. That moment, along with other personal experiences of loss, shaped her understanding of how much families carry in times of grief.

Today, her work focuses on helping people think ahead in a calm and meaningful way, so their wishes are understood and their families are supported. She believes that when a farewell is clearly expressed, it allows loved ones to focus on memory, meaning, and connection rather than uncertainty.
